Enrollment Day set for Tuesday at Silver Creek Elementary
Registration for Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten for the 2019-2020 academic year is underway at Silver Creek Elementary School, with a special Enrollment Day slated Tuesday, July 23.
District residents with children who will be 4 or 5 years old by Dec. 1, 2019, are welcome to register by visiting the Elementary Office on Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The enrollment process takes about 30 minutes to complete. Parents/guardians will receive enrollment packets and must bring in a valid driver’s license as proof of identity.

Community Meal at St. Joseph’s Church of Gowanda is Saturday
There will be a Community Meal at St. Joseph’s Church, Gowanda on Saturday, July 20 from 4 to 6 p.m. at 71 E. Main St., Gowanda in the school building. Dinner includes hotdogs, chicken macaroni salad and dessert. There is no charge. All are welcome.

The Chautauqua County Fair is in full swing, and this week’s “City Speaks” team will take our viewers through the ALCO-Brooks Railroad Display/Museum with Roger Schulenberg and Roy Davis. Our next “City Speaks” will feature the Adams Art Gallery on Central Avenue.
