Valley Historical Society picnic meeting Tuesday

The Valley Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 6 at 6 p.m. at the Sinclairville ball park. This is the annual picnic meeting and all those attending should bring a dish of food to pass plus their own beverage and table service. The program will be “Treasure Trove.” All attendees are asked to bring an old item to the meeting and share the history of that item with the group. Anyone interested in local history is invited to attend.

National Night Out in Cassadaga set for Tuesday

The second annual National Night Out event will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 6 at the Cassadaga Community Building on Mill Street in Cassadaga from 6 to 8 p.m. The Fire Department will conduct tours and demonstrations. Also scheduled are the NYSP pedal carts and Chautauqua Country Sheriff’s Department K-9 demonstration. The hot dog vendor will have refreshments available for purchase. The Cassadaga Job Corps will have exhibits, information and games.
