Dayton Volunteer Fire Company plans chicken barbecue for Sunday

The Dayton Volunteer Fire Company, 9512 Route 62, Gowanda, is having a chicken barbecue on Sunday, Sept. 15, starting at 11:30 a.m. until sold out. Adults $10, Children under 12 $6. The meal will consist of salt potatoes, macaroni salad, coleslaw, roll, dessert, and for those who eat in, a drink is included. To reserve a dinner, call 532-2850 before Sunday, Sept. 15. On Sunday, call 532-2627 before 10 a.m.

‘What to do about challenging behavior’ workshop Saturday

A free workshop: “What to do about challenging behavior” will be presented by Prevention Works (formerly CASAC) and Parent Network of WNY on Saturday, Sept. 14 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The location is the Boys & Girls Club of Jamestown, 62 Allen St., Jamestown. The session will include a review of Part I of the different types of behavior and an opportunity to develop a plan with strategies to help address those behaviors.

Gowanda Women of the Moose vendor craft show Saturday

The Gowanda Women of the Moose will host a vendor craft show on Saturday, Sept. 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Gowanda Moose, 201 Aldrich St., Gowanda. This is a WOTM community service project. Southern Tier Bills Booster Club watching game Sunday

The Southern Tier Bills Booster Club will watch the Buffalo Bills-New York Giants game on Sunday, Sept. 15 at the Kosciuszko Club, 252 Nevins St., Dunkirk. Beef stew will be provided at halftime. Members may bring a dish to pass.
