Dunkirk Public Library announces kids’ events

The Dunkirk Public Library, located at 536 Central Ave., Dunkirk, has scheduled special children’s events for the fall. They are designed for children ages 2 to 10. These free programs will be held from 11 a.m. to noon. The activities are open to the public, but pre-registration is required. Call 366-2511.

Saturday, Sept. 28, children can make a wreath with paper leaves and glitter leaf stickers.

Saturday, Oct. 26, is “Trick-or-Treat for Books” at the library. Kids will enjoy games, a craft, refreshments and receive a book to keep. Costumes are encouraged.

Saturday, Nov. 23, children can make a colorful turkey for a Thanksgiving decoration.

These programs are in addition to the regularly scheduled storytimes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 to 11 a.m. for children ages 2 to 5.

Perrysburg Town Board special meeting today

The Perrysburg Town Board will hold a special meeting on today at 7 p.m. at the Perrysburg Town Hall, 10460 Peck Hill Road, for the purpose of an update on the Prospect Street road project.

Arkwright road to be closed Sept. 26-29

The town of Arkwright has announced that Hall Road will be closed Sept. 26 until Sept. 29 for a culvert repair.
