‘Chautauqua Sunrise’ to feature Burdick

“Chautauqua Sunrise,” hosted by Doc Hamels, will have guest Brenda Burdick from Westfield Memorial Hospital discussing Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The program airs live at 9 a.m. on Saturday only, then repeats at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Repeat programming is typically re-aired throughout the week at other various time slots. All programming starts on Saturday, Oct. 5 with the final airing on Friday, Oct. 11.

Access Chautauqua, formerly Access Channel 5, is available to cable viewers in the Chautauqua, Mayville, North Harmony, Portland, Ripley, Sherman, and Westfield areas and can be found on cable channel 1301.

The programs may also be viewed after the initial airing at the station’s website, https://accesschautauquacountytv.org.

Forestville to hold chili cook-off at festival

Come enter the Chili Cook-Off on Oct. 5 at the Forestville Fall Festival. Enter at noon, minimum 5 quart in crock pot and don’t forget to name your chili. The public will taste the chili for a nominal fee and judge. For more information, call Terri at 679-8384.

Glasgow Road to be closed Wednesday

Glasgow Road, in the town of Pomfret, between Dale Drive and Darby Switch Road, will be closed to traffic 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., today. A detour will not be posted.

Dunkirk Town Board budget workshop set

The Dunkirk Town Board will hold a budget workshop, on Tuesday, Oct. 8, at 6:30 p.m. at the town hall, 4737 Willow Road.
