Northern Chautauqua Conservation Club Ladies Auxiliary will be holding a fall harvest chicken barbecue Sunday, Oct. 13 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the clubroom, 1 Mullet St., Dunkirk. Tickets are available behind the bar. $10 for members and guests.

American Legion 409 Auxiliary to meet Oct. 14

American Legion 409 Auxiliary, 100 Legion Drive, Gowanda, will meet Monday, Oct. 14 at 6:30 p.m. The agenda will include the Blue Star Mothers’ Drive, a collection for items to put in servicemen and women’s boxes and the Vets’ dinner on Nov. 11. Call 532-3592 for details.

Sheridan Post 6390 VFW Auxiliary meeting Oct. 14

The Sheridan VFW Auxiliary will hold its monthly meeting on Monday, Oct. 14 at 6:30 p.m. at the Post, located at 2556 Route 20 in Sheridan. A big thank you to auxiliary members who stepped up to help with the Randy Jam VI. A special event will be planned for November to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the auxiliary charter in conjunction with honoring our veterans on Veterans Day.
