Sheridan Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary meeting Oct. 21

The Sheridan Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary will hold its monthly meeting on Monday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m., at the Fire Hall, 2800 Route 20, Sheridan. All members are encouraged to attend.

Perrysburg Town Board workshop

The Perrysburg Town Board will hold a Budget Workshop meeting on Monday, Oct. 21 at 6 p.m. at the Town Hall, 10460 Peck Hill Road. The regular monthly board meeting will immediately follow.

Historical Museum of Dunkirk annual meeting set for Oct. 30

The Historical Museum of Dunkirk annual meeting will take place Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. at the museum, located at 513 Washington Ave. The public is invited to attend. For questions, call Stephanie at 366-3797.

Silver Creek last brush pickup

The village of Silver Creek would like to remind all village residents that the last week for brush pickup will begin on Monday; we will be converting equipment to begin leaf pickup beginning when necessary.

When leaf pick up begins, only leaves will be vacuumed– no brush will be collected. Also, please note, that heavy metal will be discontinued after the November collection for the winter months; it will resume when announced in the spring.

SOAR Chapter 4-1 meeting and lunch

SOAR Chapter 4-1 will hold its next meeting and lunch on Tuesday, Oct. 22 at noon at the United Steelworkers Local Union 2693 Union Hall, 97 E. Fourth St., Dunkirk. Retirees of all unions are welcome.

On Thursday, Oct. 24, a dinner featuring wonderful homemade food and desserts will be served at 6 p.m. at the VFW, 11 Main St. Silver Creek. Tickets are $5 and are currently on sale. A cash bar is also available.

While the event is sponsored by the Town of Hanover Democratic Club, all are invited and welcome to attend. Come and enjoy meeting friends and neighbors in the community.

Development group meets Oct. 22

The Chautauqua Region Economic Development Corp. board of directors will be meeting at the BWB Building, in the CCIDA board room, 201 W. Third St., on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2019, immediately following the CCIDA Board meeting.
