Access Chautauqua lists programming for Nov. 2-8

“Chautauqua Sunrise,” hosted by Doc Hamels, will have guest Greg Carlson, director of Chautauqua County Veterans Services. The program airs live at 9 a.m. on Saturday only, then repeats at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Repeat programming is typically re-aired throughout the week at other various time slots.

All programming starts on Saturday, Nov. 2 with the final airing on Friday, Nov. 8.

Access Chautauqua, formerly Access Channel 5, is available to cable viewers in the Chautauqua, Mayville, North Harmony, Portland, Ripley, Sherman, and Westfield areas, and can be found on cable channel 1301.

The programs may also be viewed after the initial airing at the station’s web site https://accesschautauquacountytv.org.

Dunkirk City School District Community Forum set for Nov. 9

The Dunkirk City School District will hold its second community forum in the search for the next superintendent. The community is invited to come and give input on the desired qualifications and characteristics residents would like to see. The forum will be held in the Dunkirk High School Auditorium from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9. All are welcome to attend.

Brocton HS Rotary Interact Club bottle and can drive Saturday

The Brocton HS Rotary Interact Club will be having a bottle and can drive on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Brocton Bus Garage. Funds raised will be used to support its annual preventive angels project where members purchase gifts for a needy family for Christmas.

First Ward Falcon Club turkey and meat party planned for Saturday

The First Ward Falcon Club is sponsoring a turkey and meat party on Saturday, Nov. 2 beginning at 7 p.m. Over 50 drawings will be held. Try your luck at winning turkey, steaks, ham and sausage. Free draft beer and snacks. This event is open to the public. All are welcome.

West Town of Dunkirk Volunteer Fire company turkey party Saturday

The West Town of Dunkirk Volunteer Fire company will hold its annual turkey party Saturday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. at the Fire Hall, 4741 Willow Road. Featured items include turkeys, steaks, hams and sausages. There will a monetary door prize drawing. Free refreshments will be available.

Annual Angola Library fall dinner Saturday at Evans Center Fire Hall

It’s that time again! The Angola Public Library will hold its 10th Annual Harvest Dinner on Saturday, Nov. 2 at the Evans Center Fire Hall on Route 5 in Evans. The event starts at 6 p.m. with dinner at 7. There will be a cash bar, basket auction, afghan raffle and live music.

Dinner is a traditional turkey dinner with homemade desserts.

Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the Angola Library or at the door. Proceeds benefit the Angola Library Renovation Fund.

Lakeshore Humane Society’s Fourth Annual Fur Ball Gala Saturday

Lakeshore Humane Society’s Fourth Annual Fur Ball Gala will take place Saturday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. at the Clarion Hotel & Conference Center, 30 Lake Shore Dr. E., Dunkirk. Tickets are $50. For details, see www.lakeshorehumanesociety.org
