Gowanda under winter parking ban

The Gowanda Police Department reminds that the village’s winter parking ban is in effect until April 1 between the hours of midnight and 7 a.m. Any vehicle parked on any village streets during this time may be subject to a parking ticket.

NCCC Ladies Auxiliary meeting tonight

The Northern Chautauqua Conservation Club Ladies Auxiliary monthly meeting will be held tonight, Nov. 13, at 6:30 p.m. at the Mullet Street Clubroom in Dunkirk. Upcoming holiday events will be discussed.

Cassadaga group meets Thursday

CASSADAGA — The Citizens for a Better Cassadaga will be meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, in the Cassadaga Library. “Light Up Cassadaga” will be the main topic. All area residents are encouraged to attend.

Jamestown Community Third Friday Dance

On Friday, Nov. 15 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at Tree of Life Church, 825 Forest Ave., Jamestown the public is welcome to a Harvest Dance. Joe Kwiatkowski is caller and the musicians are Don and Jean Wisniewski from Waterford, Pennsylvania. Admission is only $5. Snacks are provided. The Christmas Dance is on Friday, Dec. 20. Mark your calendars! Come and have a fun time! No experience/partner necessary.

Dunkirk Senior Citizens special meeting set

There will be a meeting of the Dunkirk Senior Citizens on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 2 p.m. at the Dunkirk Senior Center, 45 Cliffstar Court.

Members of the Senior Center; Dunkirk Mayor Rosas; members of the current City Council and the incoming City Council; Mary Ann Spanos, Director of the Chautauqua County Office for the Aging and Frank Bercik, Executive Director of Chautauqua Adult Day Services will be attending. This meeting is open to all area seniors.

The planned building project for the location and renovations to the Senior Center, to be funded by the grant, will be discussed.
