DMV offices closed Thursday, Friday due to Thanksgiving holiday

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, the Mayville Department of Motor Vehicles will not remain open late hours today.

The Mayville DMV will close at 4:30 p.m. as usual. Since county offices are closed both Thursday and Friday, all DMV offices will be closed those days and reopen at 8:30 a.m. Monday.

Access Chautauqua lists programming

“Chautauqua Sunrise,” hosted by Doc Hamels, will have guest Jim McQuiston, Oak Island author. The program airs live at 9 a.m. on Saturday only, then repeats at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Repeat programming is typically re-aired throughout the week at other various time slots.

All programming starts on Saturday, Nov. 30 with the final airing on Friday, Dec. 6.

Access Chautauqua, formerly Access Channel 5, is available to cable viewers in the Chautauqua, Mayville, North Harmony, Portland, Ripley, Sherman, and Westfield areas, and can be found on cable channel 1301.

The programs may also be viewed after the initial airing at the station’s web site https://accesschautauquacountytv.org.

Dunkirk Memorial Post 62 Children’s Christmas Party reservations needed

Dunkirk Memorial Post 62 will hold its Children’s Christmas Party on Sunday, Dec. 8 from 1 to 4 p.m. for children 12 years and younger of all members of Post 62 or any Veteran. Sign up at the Post, 211 Central Ave., Dunkirk, by Dec. 6.

American Legion Post 59 Disco Party Nov. 30

The American Legion Post 59, will be hosting DJ Joe Gould for their annual Disco Party featuring drink specials, Saturday, Nov. 30 from 8 p.m. to midnight at Post 59, 156 E. Main St., Fredonia. All members and guests are welcome and encouraged to dress up and be groovy, no charge.
