Fredonia Board of Trustees to meet Monday

The Board of Trustees of the Village of Fredonia has announced it is meeting Monday, Jan. 6 at 6:30 p.m. in the Trustees’ Room on the second floor of Village Hall, 9-11 Church St.

Dunkirk Citizens Advisory Board to meet Jan. 8

The next meeting of the Dunkirk Citizens Advisory Board is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 8 at 6:30 p.m. in the Dunkirk City Hall conference room. The group is seeking new members of the public.

B-side Uke Jam set for Friday

A B-side Uke Jam will take place on Friday, Jan. 10at 6 p.m. at the East Main Cafe, 183 E. Main St., Fredonia. Intended for ukulele enthusiasts who are a step beyond beginners, participants should be familiar with basic chords (C, F, Am, G, Em, D, Dm) and strumming as well as some picking. Everyone is welcome, but this moves at a quicker pace than usual jam sessions. For details, email Jill Reese at reese@fredonia.edu. This is a free event.

Combined concert in Silver Creek set for Jan. 11

A performance by the Buffalo Silver Band with the Silver Creek and Cassadaga Valley Central School District bands will take place Saturday, Jan. 11 at 7 p.m. in the Silver Creek High School gym, 1 Dickinson St., Silver Creek. Tickets are $2. All proceeds go toward helping support this event at the music department at SCCS.

Gowanda School Board to meet at Seneca Nation of Indians ECLC

The next Gowanda Central School District regular Board of Education will take place Wednesday, Jan. 8, at 6:30 p.m. It will take place at The Seneca Nation of Indians Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC), 2016 Henodeyesta Drive, Irving.
