St. Joseph’s Catholic Church of Gowanda community meal set for Saturday

St. Joseph’s Catholic Church of Gowanda will host a community meal on Saturday, Jan. 18 at the school building, 71 E. Main St., Gowanda. The menu will be turkey and biscuits, cranberry sauce, salad and desserts. There is no charge. All are welcome.

Barker Library to host children’s event

On Saturday, Jan. 18 at 2 p.m., the Darwin R. Barker Library is hosting “Here Comes the Sun!”. Although it is still winter, the days are growing longer, which means more sunshine. Children are invited to celebrate the sun with stories, activities, a craft and a video about our closest star. All children are welcome; no registration is necessary.
