Girls invited to Troop 267-G’s open house

Young ladies, ages 11-17, are welcome to stop by the all-female Boy Scout Troop 267-G’s open house on March 2 at 7 p.m. Join us for an introduction to scouting, activities and snacks while meeting new friends. Parents are welcome to meet with the scout leaders. The scouts are a wonderful program where youths can learn new skills earning merit badges, gain leadership experience and try new activities and adventures. The open house will be held at the Fredonia American Legion Memorial Post No. 59, 156 East Main Street, Fredonia. For more information contact Rebecca Schafer at 401-2547.

Community Caregiver Conference set

Chautauqua Opportunities Alzheimer’s Services is having a Community Caregiver Conference. Come and join us and hear many service providers talk about services they provide caregivers. Topics include: Receiving a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s and what to do, memory and behavioral issues, insurance needs, keeping seniors in their homes and help with legal documentation.

There will be basket raffle giveaways and lunch will be provided. Free respite care upon reservation if needed.

The event takes place Friday, March 20 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Park United Methodist Church 49 Sinclair Dr. Sinclairville.
