Ripley School Board to meet

A regular meeting of the Board of Education of the Ripley Central School District will be held on Wednesday, April 22, at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom for the purpose of any and all items that come before the board. Lake Erie Bird Club field trip cancelled

The Lake Erie Bird Club field trip to the Fredonia College Lodge scheduled for April 25 has been cancelled.

Fredonia Farmers’ Market news

The Fredonia Farmers’ Market will be open this Saturday, April 18, during regular hours from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Masonic Forest Lodge, 321 E. Main St., Fredonia. Vendors are spaced far apart and using precautions following NYS safety guidelines. Vendors will continue to hold market as they have been for as long as needed. The Market plans to move outdoors in mid-May.

Chaffee Country Hamboree delayed until fall

The Pioneer, Radio Operators, Society (PROS) will be postponing its annual “Chaffee Country Hamboree, which was scheduled for June 20. This was to be held in Manion Park in Chaffee, NY. Chairperson Roy Schwedt KC2LEE said that the club is considering a possible fall date for the hamfest. “We don’t want to compromise anyone’s health and felt that this might be the best,” said Schwedt. All vendors have been notified and will attend our next event. Stay tuned.
