Fredonia announces brush clean up

The Village of Fredonia will be picking up limbs and yard waste Monday, May 18 through Thursday, May 21. Collection will begin at 7 a.m. and continue until every village street within the scheduled section has been completed. Bags and brush are collected separately by different crews. All items for collection must be at the curb no later than 7 a.m. of the scheduled morning. In no case will there be repeat collection of areas completed.

All yard waste must be bagged and all limbs and brush must be tied with twine. Limbs and brush must be cut no longer than 4 feet in length with bundles being no larger than 18 inches in diameter.

Bundles and bags are limited to 65 pounds in weight. There is no collection of loose material. No loose leaves will be picked up.

Residents are reminded that dumping branches and brush at the DPW is prohibited and violators will be prosecuted.

The individual sections and their day of schedule is as follows:

MONDAY (Northwest) — Barker, Bernett, Berry, Brigham, Center, Chestnut, Church, Forest, Gardner, Hart, Johnson, Leverett, West Main, Matteson, Park, Pulaski, Reese, Risley, Steuben, Sunset, Temple, Terrace, University, Ventura, Viola, Westerly.

TUESDAY (Southeast) — Clark, Cleveland, Clinton, Cushing, Dunn, Eagle, Elm, Gillis, Green, Lakeview, Liberty, Link, East Main, Moore, Norton, Orchard, Porter, Prospect, Union.

WEDNESDAY (Southwest) — Andrew, Brendon, Bradish, Canadaway, Casa Bella, Castile, Chautauqua, Claudia, Douglas, George’s, Hamlet, Hillcrest, Houghton, Howard, Nance, Pine, Rosalyn, Ryan, Seymour, Skyeandro, Spring, Summer, Susann, Washington, Water, Woodcrest, Woodward.

THURSDAY (Northeast) — Ahren’s, Birchwood, Bryant, Carol, Central, Cottage, Curtis, Day, Forbes, Holmes, James, Lambert, Leon, Lowell, Maple, Middlesex, Newton, Pleasant, Sahle, White.

Chautauqua County Board of Health to meet Thursday
