‘Hamilton’ day trip being planned
Grape Belt Seniors are planning a day trip to see “Hamilton” at Shea’s Buffalo Theater on Sunday, Jan. 2. Limited seats available at $279 per person. Tickets, once paid, are non-refundable.
After the show, there will be a relaxed sit-down dinner at The Pearl Street Grill with a choice of grilled salmon, beer-braised pot roast, or Six Cheese Bow tie pasta. The bus will depart 11 a.m. from behind Big Lots and return at 7 p.m.

Chicken barbecue is Wednesday
HANOVER — The town of Hanover Democratic Club is hosting a Weidner’s chicken barbecue dinner for take-out only from 3 to 6:30 p.m. at Primo’s parking lot at Routes 5 and 20. Dinner includes half chicken, buttered spuds, homemade baked beans and roll at $12.
Concert set for Sheridan
SHERIDAN — An outdoor concert featuring the Cassadaga Area Community Band will take place at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday on the grounds of the Sheridan town buildings, 2777 Route 20. Refreshments benefit the Sheridan Historical Society and Sheridan VFW Auxiliary.
Library plans ‘Smiles,’ sale
Join “Serving Up Smiles” at the Dunkirk Public Library on Saturday, Sept. 4 for books, movies, magazines and delicious ice cream! The sale will take place between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Karaoke contest set for fair
SINCLAIRVILLE — A Karaoke contest will be held at the Sinclairville History Fair on Saturday Sept. 11 at 3 p.m. There is no entry fee and $300 in cash prizes will be given.
