AARP offering driver courses online

All in person AARP Driver Safety classes have been canceled nationwide until Jan. 1 due to the COVID spread.

Those needing to take the class can do so online at a 25% discount using the code DRIVINGSKILLS by going to the website www.aarpdriversafety.org. The discount will be good through the end of the year.

If one does not have a computer or internet or is not computer savvy, please call your local library as many are able to offer assistance.

North county district meets Sept. 11

There will be a meeting of the North County Industrial Water and Sewer District Board of Directors on Saturday, Sept. 11, at the town of Dunkirk Hall, 4737 Willow Road, Dunkirk. The meeting, which is open to the public, will begin at 10 a.m. and the sewer district meeting will immediately follow the water district’s meeting.

Bridge closing is announced

ELLINGTON — The bridge on Waterboro Hill Road in the town of Ellington, between Bemus and Watkins roads, will be closed to all traffic effective Tuesday. The closure is for replacement of the culvert. A detour will be posted.

Westfield plans Saturday flea market

WESTFIELD — The Westfield Outdoor Sale and Flea Market will be held Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Moore Park, 23 Elm St., Westfield.
