Churches to hold outdoor service

Park Church Cassadaga and Park Church Sinclairville will hold a single outdoor service in Minkler’s Commons, in downtown Sinclairville Sunday at 10 a.m. Lunch will be served following the service.

Comprehensive plan website updated

Fredonia and Pomfret have updated the project website regarding the community’s joint effort to develop a comprehensive plan. The website url is https://ingallsplanning.mysocialpinpoint.com/fredonia-pomfret-comprehensive-plan. A comprehensive plan establishes a community-based vision and provides a general guide for decision making for the next decade. The village and town decided to join forces to undertake a joint planning process that will consider and address a variety of key issues and opportunities. The purpose of the update to the website is to give community members the opportunity to provide valuable feedback regarding future land use, priorities and actions.

Conservancy plans Friday fundraiser

LAKEWOOD — The Empty Bottle at Southern Tier Distilling Company will be hosting a fundraiser for the Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy on Friday. Ten percent of all sales from the day will be donated to CWC, which CWC will use towards the completion of its “Fish Hawks and Steelhead Habitat Campaign” to conserve 71 acres of sensitive wildlife and fish habitat on and near Goose Creek and at the mouth of Chautauqua Creek in Barcelona. Staff from CWC will serve as guest bartenders from 5 to 8 p.m., and live music will be provided by Kyle Gustafson. The Empty Bottle is located at 2051A Stoneman in Lakewood. Reservations are not needed for the event.

Flea market set for Hanover

HANOVER — The annual Flea Market will take place Saturday, July 9 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hanover Center Fire Department Grounds at 11919 Hanover Road.

The event is outside rain or shine and includes auto parts, farm items, household, crafts and new and used items. All are welcome. Spaces are 15 by 30 feet for $25. There are no reservations. First come, first serve. Vendor set up is from 6 to 7:30 a.m. No tear down before 3 p.m.

Portland road closing next week

PORTLAND — Tastor Lane will be closed to traffic from Route 5 to the end of the road from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, town highway Superintendent Kenneth Becker reported on Friday.

Antique Equipment group to meet

STOCKTON — The Chautauqua County Antique Equipment Association will hold its monthly meeting at the Club grounds on Tuesday at 7 p.m. All members are encouraged to attend.
