Food pantry open Nov. 19

On Saturday, Nov. 19, The Fredonia Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. until noon at Fredonia Presbyterian Church at 219 Central Ave. The pantry serves the needs of residents of Fredonia and ZIP code 14063 that includes Pomfret, Sheridan, and Laona. All guests receive one or more bags of non-perishable food. Number of bags given out depends on family size.

Revolution set

Nov. 12 meeting

STOCKTON — The Sons of the American Revolution, Chautauqua Chapter will hold its monthly meeting on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 12:30 p.m. The meeting will be at the Stockton Hotel and members will order lunch from the menu. The S.A.R. is an organization of men that can trace their ancestry to a patriot of the war for independence. Anyone interested in American history is welcome to attend as well as spouses. auxiliary meets Tuesday

CASSADAGA — The Cassadaga American Legion Auxiliary Unit 1280 will hold its regular monthly meeting Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Legion hall, 228 Maple Ave. The 2023 dues are now being accepted. All member are encouraged to attend to help further our efforts to benefit our Veterans & community, and new members are always welcome.

program Nov. 10 postponed

SINCLAIRVILLE — The Sinclairville Free Library announced the Thursday, Nov. 10 at 6:30 p.m. to meet and learn more about Cassadaga Valley Central School Agriculture and Occupational Education teacher Cheryl Burns has been postponed.

The library is located at 15 Main St. in Sinclairville. For additional information about library programs and services, please call 716-962-5885 or send email to info@sinclairvillelibrary.org. The library will be closed on Friday, Nov. 11 in observance of Veterans Day.

Coin drive

underway for Silver Creek schools

SILVER CREEK – Do you have some spare change and a desire to make a difference in our students’ futures?

Silver Creek High School is fundraising for its freshman, sophomore, junior and senior classes with a coin drive. Each grade level is collecting loose change through Friday, Nov. 18, 2022, and the community is asked to please check your couch cushions, dryers, and cars for any change it’s willing to spare. Change bins are placed at the SCHS main lobby, the front desk at the high school and the elementary front desk for public donations.

All coins will benefit individual accounts for the Class of 2023 through the Class of 2026. SCHS students begin fundraising during ninth and 10th grade to budget for expenses associated with junior and senior year activities such as prom, class night, senior trip, etc.
