The Cattaraugus County Health Department has reported the county’s 15th COVID-19 death, an 86-year-old man who developed respiratory failure and was unable to overcome his illness despite medical treatment.

Cattaraugus County has 75 active cases, according to the county Health Department website. There are 35 people in precautionary quarantine, 274 people in mandatory quarantine. Cattaraugus County has given 37,543 COVID-19 tests, with 375 total cases, or a positivity rate of .99% since the pandemic began.
