Felon charged after being found with weapon in Westfield
WESTFIELD — A convicted felon who was allegedly in possession of a weapon he is not allowed to possess is again in trouble with the law.
According to the Westfield Police Department, around 9:54 a.m. Monday, officers responded to 19 Pearl St. to assist Child Protective Services on a home visit. While at the residence, it was discovered Todd A. Thorne, 48, was found with a weapon.
After further investigation, Thorne was charged Tuesday afternoon with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He was issued a ticket and is to be in Westfield Village Court later.
