Three detained after Westfield home found with cash, drugs

WESTFIELD — More than $13,000 in cash and a number of assorted drugs were located in a home Thursday morning by Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force officials leading to three men being in custody.

Around 6:35 a.m., force members from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, its K-9 unit, Dunkirk Police Department, Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and JPD K-9 and the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office SWAT executed a search warrant at 7518 Route 20 in the town. The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s SWAT made entry into the residence and detained the males inside. Investigators then searched the home and found $13,367.00 in cash, approximately 226 grams of Psilocybin, 3.11 grams of LSD 170 grams of concentrated cannabis, 1 gram of cocaine and 41 grams of marijuana along with scales and packaging material. This was the result of a three-month investigation into drug sales at the residence. There were no charges filed at this time as the investigation is continuing.

The Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force is comprised of investigators from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and the city of Dunkirk Police Department. Authorities continue to ask members of the community to call and report suspicious or narcotics related activity within their neighborhoods.
