Federal grand jury indicts Jamestown man on meth charges

A federal grand jury has returned an indictment charging 28-year-old Jun N. Martinez of Jamestown with narcotics conspiracy, possessing with intent to distribute methamphetamine, maintaining a premises for drug use and distribution, and possessing with intent to distribute methamphetamine on premises where an individual under 18 was present and resided.

The Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force executed a search warrant Oct. 16, 2020 at the Wescott Street residence Martinez shared with Antasia Babcock and their children. During the search, officers reported seizing a pound of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, drug paraphernalia and about $62,000 in cash.

The charges carry a mandatory minimum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $10 million fine.

Babcock also has been indicted in this case.
