An investigation continues into an accident Friday afternoon on the Chautauqua Lake bridge over Interstate 86.

At about 3:10 p.m., Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies responded to the accident with injury. A tractor trailer, along with two other vehicles were involved in the accident. A 25-year-old male operator was transported by EMS to UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pa., for his injuries. The other two individuals involved, age 34-year-old female and 63-year-old male, were not injured.

Bemus Point Fire Department, on its Facebook page, noted they responded to the accident during a hailstorm. Sheriff’s deputies were assisted by the Bemus Point Fire Department, Ashville Fire Department and Chautauqua County EMS.
