World Series of Cars returning to Jamestown

JAMESTOWN — The Babe Ruth World Series Board of Directors is proud to announce the upcoming 34th Annual World Series of Cars to be held in Jamestown on July 23, along with its sponsors.

This year, the board of directors is pleased to announce a Major Sponsor in Dave Warren Dodge Ram.

In addition to Dave Warren, the board of directors is proud to announce other sponsors include J.S. Auto Parts Plus, Chautauqua Pools & Power Sports, State Farm Insurance — David Snow Agent and Cummins Engine.

The World Series of Cars was started in 1984 as a way to help defray the expense of hosting a Babe Ruth World Series in Jamestown.

Jamestown has been successful not only in this car show, but also in hosting 16 World Series events from 1980 to 2015.

In addition to the car show, the board of directors is in the process of planning two more World Series events.

The show was conceived in 1984 as a way to help defray the expense of hosting a Babe Ruth World Series in Jamestown. Each one of these series has showcased young baseball talent from all over the United States in addition to bringing a very significant economic boost to the Jamestown area.

The board of directors is proud to announce that it is in the process of signing new contracts to host additional World Series events in 2018 and 2020, respectively.

The World Series of Cars is one of the primary fundraising events for the Babe Ruth World Series and this year’s 34th annual show to be held in Bergman Park on Baker Street in Jamestown will be no exception.

New this year also includes a change from an Antique Automobile Club of America-judged show to a participant-judged show.

This show has been recognized for many years as one of the premier automotive events in Western New York. The board of directors hopes to continue and grow that reputation.

Registration forms for vehicle entry and the craft and vendor fair are available on the website, www.jamestownworldseries.org. There is also information on the website and Facebook about the car show in general.
