PANAMA — A Panama man was killed after he was thrown from the the all terrain vehicle he was riding in Panama, the New York State Police said.

Brent A. Aldrich, 32, of 13 South St., was traveling south on Eddy Road approaching Button Valley Road when he reportedly struck a guide rail on the east side of a bridge crossing over a small creek.

Aldrich was ejected over the guide rail into water below. State police said the ATV remained on the side of the road.

An area resident, traveling from Button Valley Road onto Eddy Road at approximately 2 a.m., observed the ATV in the road and contacted the Chautauqua County 911 Center after he observed a post on Facebook that noted Aldrich had been missing.
