No propositions in Chautauqua County for Election Day

Election Commissioners Norman P. Green and Brian C. Abram remind voters that there will be no need to flip the ballot on Nov. 6, as there are no propositions this year to be voted on.

“There is a post being circulated on the Internet that remind New York State voters to vote both sides of the ballot,” said Abram. “But that reminder does not apply to Chautauqua County, as we have no local, county or state propositions to vote on. It’s a one sided ballot this year.”

Green added, “Dunkirk is scheduled for a proposition question to be put before the voters changing the terms for the City Council members. But that proposition will be voted on in concert with the normal 2019 Dunkirk City election cycle.”

The Board of Elections urges voters with inquiries on ballots to refer to the sample ballots that are always posted for all county election jurisdictions at a minimum 30-days before any election at www.votechautauqua.com.

Voters with questions or concerns about any election item are welcome to call the Board of Elections at 716-753-4580 during normal business hours or e-mail the elections office in Mayville at vote@co.chautauqua.ny.us.
