Collins Public Library monthly events for November

The Collins Public Library, located at 2341 Main St., Collins, has announced a number of events for November. When registration is required, stop by or call the library at 532-5129.

Turkey Coloring Contest: Now through Nov. 15. Open to ages 3 to 12. Prizes will be drawn at random.

Senior Movie: Today at 1 p.m. Come for a movie and popcorn. This activity is co-sponsored by the 50+Seniors. Call the library for the title.

Craft Club: Monday, Nov. 5 at 6 p.m. Come and make crafts in the Library! This month’s theme will be scarecrows. Ages 4 to 12. Registration needed.

Book Club: Monday, Nov. 5 at 11 a.m. Discuss “Lincoln in the Bardo” by George Saunders. Everyone is welcome. Request a copy online or at the library desk.

Lap Sit with Miss Abbie: Tuesdays: Nov. 6, 13, 20 and 27 at 10:30 a.m. Join in for this fun program for children ages 6 months to 2 years with a caregiver. A great introduction to early literacy skills with rhymes, finger plays, music, stories and more. Sign-up required.

LEGO Club: Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 6:30 p.m. Come and play with LEGOs in the Library. Have your creation put on display in the Library. Ages 4 to 12. Registration required.

Quilting with Florence: Every Wednesday at 10 a.m. Join these knowledgeable ladies as they work on projects!

Unicorns & Dragons: Thursday, Nov. 8 at 6 p.m. Come celebrate your favorite fantastic beasts at the Library. Create a dragon’s egg, make and take unicorn slime, stories, games and a dance party! Ages 3 to 6. Registration required.

Toddler Time: The next 3 week session of Toddler Time begins Friday, Nov. 9 at 10:30 a.m. Read stories, play games, sing songs and have a snack. For ages 2 to 5 years. Registration appreciated.

Tinkering in the Library! Saturday, Nov. 10 at noon. With different rotating activities each month, there will be new things to explore. Fun for the whole family. Registration appreciated.

Closed: The Library will be closed on Nov. 12 for Veterans Day and will re-open on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 10 a.m. Use the “Book” drop or renew online at www.Buffalolib.org.

Evening Book Club: Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 5:30 p.m. Discuss “Pope Joan” by Donna Woolfolk Cross. Request a copy online or stop by the Library Desk. Call 532-5129 or stop by if interested.

Scarecrow Story Hour: Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 6 p.m. Join in for scarecrow fun! Stories, crafts, games, and activities all about falls favorite scarecrow. Call 532-5219 or stop by to register.

Computer Basics Class: Thursday, Nov. 15 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Designed for beginners, this class includes how to use the mouse and keyboard. Registration required.

Create Your Own Mickey Checkers: Saturday, Nov. 17 at 1 p.m. Ages 3 to 10. Come celebrate Games Month and Mickey Mouse’s 90th birthday by making your own checkers game. Registration required and limited.

Pretzel Turkeys! Monday, Nov. 19 at 6 p.m. Ages 3 to 15. Make your own pretzel turkey treats. All materials are provided. Registration is required.

Taco Tuesday Story time: Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 6 p.m. Ages 5 to 12. Come read some taco stories and make a candy taco! Registration required and limited.

Family Holiday Movie: Friday, Nov. 23 at 2 p.m. Join us for a family-friendly movie, popcorn and a small craft. Fun for the whole family! Sign up is encouraged.

Creative Crafts for Grownups: Saturday, Nov. 24 at 1 p.m. Come and make Christmas Cards. All supplies are provided but registration is limited. Ages 18+.
