Gowanda Central School District plans November events

This Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., a Scrapbooking Crop & Spanish Club fundraiser will take place at Gowanda High School, 10674 Prospect St. Additional dates include March 2 and March 20.

The events are open to anyone who wants to scrapbook for the day. Other activities include a chance auction, vendors, make-and-takes and door prizes. Snacks, lunch, drinks, dinner will be available. The cost of $30 includes cost of the crop and food. To register, send checks payable to the Gowanda Spanish Club to Barb Dempsey at GHS. For details, call Barb at 560-7594 or Sue at 997-6934.

On Monday, The Gowanda Thespian Society will present a free senior citizen preview of its fall play “Little Shop of Horrors” at 1 p.m. in the high school auditorium. The musical will be performed Nov. 7 and Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. in the Gowanda Central auditorium. Tickets cost $8 for adults or $5 for students and senior citizens.

Gowanda High School’s Class of 2019 will hold a chicken barbecue fundraiser on Nov. 7, beginning at 2:30 p.m. in the Middle School cafeteria. The cost is $10 per dinner.

On Nov. 15, the Gowanda Central School District will present its Fall Band Concert at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. The grades 7 through 12 Fall Choral concert will take place Nov. 29.

From Nov. 19 through Nov. 30, stop by to see the Gowanda High School student aft show at Community bank, 76 W. Main St. The show runs daily during business hours.
