Jamestown man charged in Ripley robbery

RIPLEY — Another arrest has been made in connection with a Jan. 14 robbery at 10 W. Main St., officials announced today.

Tyler Bowen was originally charged and arrested and remanded to the county jail in regard to this incident. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division then obtained new information and a county court indictment warrant was issued for Dyquan Smith, 24, of 614 E. Sixth St., Jamestown, for one count of first-degree burglary, four counts of first-degree robbery and four counts of second-degree robbery.

Jamestown police were asked for their assistance and they picked Smith up at his residence in Jamestown. He was handed over to deputies and arraigned in Chautauqua County Court, remanded to county cail on $250,000 cash or $500,000 property bail.
