Seven charged in Cattaraugus County meth bust

CONEWANGO — Seven people have been arrested after a meth bust late last week.

On Friday at approximately 11:15 p.m., the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force, assisted by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team and Cattaraugus County K9 Nichols executed a search warrant at 138 Williams St.

After executing a search of the premises, investigators found over a half ounce of crystal methamphetamine packaged in several small containers, along with scales and packaging, which were allegedly being used in the illegal sales of methamphetamine.

Investigators arrested Robert G. Clark, 33, of Conewango, Austin W. Slater, 33, of Dayton, Bonnie S. Slater, 58, of Conewango, Layna R. Jimerson, 29, of South Dayton, Jaime M. Camacho Jr., 58, of Conewango and Charlotte A. Schuver, 31, of Conewango for fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia.

Alex C. Hayes, 27, of Conewango, was also arrested for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia.

All seven arrested individuals were transported to the Town of New Albion court for an arraignment, where they were remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail.
