YWCA plans new program in March

WESTFIELD — The YWCA of Westfield is offering a new and exciting opportunity for community members ages 18 and older to engage in maximizing their health and well-being in 2019.

The year’s programming will kick off on Saturday, March 9 with a three-hour workshop, “My Health Matters to Me,” taking place in the YWCA’s assembly room from 1 to 4 p.m. Participants attending this workshop will gain knowledge about the basic concepts of Whole Health, will be afforded the opportunity to identify personal values, and to assess individual health priorities using the “Circle of Health.” Whole Health Coaching will be introduced and various complementary and integrative health approaches will be explored (i.e., guided imagery, breathing techniques, chair yoga, meditation and mindfulness practices).

At the conclusion of the program, each participant will have developed a personal health plan for 2019 and one lucky participant will receive a free 30 minute massage! This workshop is being offered free-of-charge and class size is limited to 25 participants.

To assure a space at this workshop, please pre-register by calling 326-2011 no later than March 4. If needed, additional workshops may be offered, so please do call even if March 9 is not convenient for you.

The YWCA of Westfield is committed to assisting community members in achieving their health goals in 2019.
