Expectant and new mothers in Chautauqua County are warmly invited to attend a Community Baby Shower on Wednesday, May 29 from 12:30 to 3 p.m. at the Clarion Hotel, 30 Lake Shore Dr. East in Dunkirk. The Chautauqua County Maternal and Infant Health Program is hosting this free event.

The Community Baby Shower features local experts sharing what new parents need to know to keep their babies safe and healthy during pregnancy and after the baby is born. New or expectant moms can get their questions answered, while enjoying an afternoon of fun, refreshments, and baby shower gifts.

Speakers will cover information on vaccinations, child development, car seat safety, breastfeeding, and more. Local organizations who will be on hand to share information and answer questions include Chautauqua County Department of Health and Human Services programs serving babies, WIC, Chautauqua Alcohol and Substance Abuse Program, Project Crossroads, Chautauqua Opportunities, Safety Village and many others.

This is the 10th Community Baby Shower. Any expectant or new mother in Chautauqua County is welcome to attend and to bring their partner or other support person. Participants are strongly encouraged to pre-register by calling or simply texting their name to 224-2161.
