Two cars, some damage and an arrest of Frewsburg man

CARROLL — A 56-year-old Frewsburg man’s attempted getaway in two vehicles that did not belong to him led to damages and charges.

Just after midnight on Sunday, Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies responded to the Carroll Rod and Gun Club for a property damage motor vehicle accident. It is alleged that at 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Craig Zinger entered another club member’s vehicle unlawfully and attempted to leave the location.

While exiting the parking lot, the vehicle Zinger was operating struck another vehicle causing damage to both vehicle involved. Zinger then left the scene of the accident in another member’s vehicle.

Zinger was issued an appearance ticket and traffic tickets to appear in the town of Carroll Court to answer to the charges of third-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and leaving the scene of a property damage motor vehicle accident.
