Four injured in Route 394 crash
CHAUTAUQUA — On June 15 at about 3:28 p.m., Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident with injury on Route 394. After an investigation, it was determined that Alexander W. Lescynski, 24, of Mayville, was traveling southbound on Route 394 when he allegedly failed to stop for a vehicle attempting to make a left turn in front of him. Lescynski rear-ended the vehicle, being operated by Rhonda L. Kennedy, 52, of Jamestown. Kennedy and her passengers were evaluated by EMS at the scene and four of the passengers were transported to local hospitals for apparent non-life-threatening injuries.
Lescynski was charged with following too closely and speed not reasonable and prudent and was issued traffic tickets. Kennedy was charged with passenger 8-15-years-old not properly restrained and issued a traffic ticket. Both Lescynski and Kennedy will appear in Town of Chautauqua Court at a later date.
