International students at JCC celebrate

Jamestown Community College students representing six continents gathered for a celebration at the conclusion of the 2018-19 academic year. Jennifer Apthorpe, global learning coordinator, and Kelly Stineman, project manager, presented special recognitions to graduating students Nimish Gounder of New Zealand and Nathan Pelissier of France as well as to Ekaterina Grigoreva and Daria Smolianova of Russia who completed the Year of Exchange in America for Russians Program. Countries also represented this year at JCC were Ethiopia, Turkmenistan, Bolivia, Japan, Kenya, Jordan, Tunisia, Australia, China, Algeria, and England. Marilyn Zagora, vice president of academic affairs, and Nelson Garifi, executive director of academic innovation, shared remarks with the group.
