Westfield Academy and Central School seeks nominations for Wall of Fame

Westfield Academy and Central School has announced a recently developed Wall of Fame Program.

The Westfield Academy and Central School Wall of Fame has been created to honor individuals whose character, leadership and service exemplify outstanding achievement in their life’s work.

The community is invited to nominate a past Westfield graduate who its feels fits this description. In order to be selected for this honor, the recipient must have graduated from the Westfield Academy and Central School District at least 10 years prior to nomination. The recipient must have distinguished herself/himself in a career or field, athletics, community involvement or in activities which merit special recognition, and must demonstrate exemplary qualities of character, leadership and service.

A selection committee comprised of present or former teachers, parents, administrators, community members and alumni will review the nomination forms and make their selections. No more than five inductees will be admitted each year.

Nomination forms can be found on the Westfield Academy and Central School website at www.wacs.wynric.org or by contacting the District Office for a copy of the form. Complete the form and return it to the District Office by Aug. 30.

Induction will be held at a Westfield Academy and Central School Homecoming Event in the fall, and each inductee’s name and picture will appear on a Wall of Fame plaque which will be displayed in the school. A personal plaque will also be presented to each inductee at the Homecoming Event.

For more information, feel free to contact the school at 326-2151, and ask for the District Office.
