A win for recycling

Submitted Photo Students gather outside School No. 3 to share their love of STEM.

Kindergarten Math and STEM teacher at School No. 3 Amanda Kulig went above and beyond to help students understand the importance of recycling and its impact on our community. Amanda challenged the elementary schools to recycle by developing a partnership with Marcus Promber at Can Kings where they could turn in their cans for funding towards an important cause with Marcus even gave the schools a penny more per can for their returns.

“It is very important we teach our youth the importance of recycling and how it effects our Earth. Giving our students these fundamental learning skills through STEM will provide an understanding that will last a lifetime and preserve our planet,” Kulig said.
