Dunkirk Fire Department releases June numbers
The Dunkirk Fire Department for the month of June responded to 196 calls with 84 patient transports. Four calls were related to fires, 165 rescue and emergency medical service, three hazardous condition calls, five service calls, two good intent calls, 14 false alarms and three special incident calls.
The department suffered no losses in equipment and helped in mutual aid calls on 13 occasions. There was a total of 36 overlapping calls with average response time for EMS being three minutes and 26 seconds and fire at three minutes and 48 seconds. Average time spent on scene was 18 minutes and 28 seconds.
