World Series of Wheels event is July 27

JAMESTOWN — The Babe Ruth World Series Board of Directors is proud to announce the upcoming 36th Annual World Series of Wheels to be held in Jamestown on Saturday with a rain date of Sunday, July 28.

The World Series of Cars was started in 1984 as a way to help defray the expense of hosting a Babe Ruth World Series here in Jamestown and was one of the premier shows for antique judged cars. Over the years the event has evolved into the newly formed World Series of Wheels to reflect all vehicles and in addition we are adding Power Sports this year.

Jamestown has been successful not only in this car show, but also in hosting 17 World Series events from 1980-2018. In addition to the car show, we are in the hosting a 13-year-old series in 2020 which will be the 40th anniversary. The show was conceived in 1984 as a way to help defray the expense of hosting a Babe Ruth World Series here in Jamestown.

Each one of these series has showcased young baseball talent from all over the United States in addition to bringing a very significant economic boost to the Jamestown area. This year we are again expanding the show to not only involve Power Sports, but also expanding the vendor area and kids activities.

The World Series of Wheels is one of the primary fundraising events for the Babe Ruth World Series and this year’s 35th annual show to be held in Bergman Park on Baker Street in Jamestown will be no exception. Like in 2018, this year will include a participant judged show. This show has been recognized for many years as one of the premier automotive events in Western New York and we hope to continue and grow that reputation.

Registration Forms for vehicle entry and Craft and Vendor Fair are available on our website, www.jamestownworldseries.org. There is also information on our website and Facebook page about the car show in general. Additional questions and information can also be addressed to 664-0405.
