Jamestown man dies after crash

KENNEDY — A Jamestown man died from injuries suffered in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday evening.

Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies and volunteer firefighters responded to Route 394 in the town of Poland for the crash around 7 p.m. An investigation found that 67-year-old Terry Telschow was westbound when he crossed into the eastbound lane before colliding head-on with a vehicle being driven by 35-year-old Landon Armstrong of Conewango Valley.

Telschow suffered serious injuries and was flown by helicopter to Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, where he later died.

Armstrong was transported by ambulance to UPMC Chautauqua for an evaluation.

No charges are expected. Responding Wednesday were members of the Criminal Investigation Division, New York State Police, county Fire Police Team, fire coordinators, county EMS and members of the Kennedy, Falconer and Frewsburg fire departments.
