Brocton bans commercial solar energy systems

OBSERVER Staff Report

BROCTON — The village Board of Trustees passed its own version of Portland’s ban on commercial solar energy systems at its November meeting.

The law was passed unanimously after a public hearing where no one spoke. It allows for small-scale solar panel arrays, such as those used by some homeowners.
