Quilters’ Guild sets holiday dinner

Submitted Photo Members Dianne Stanton, Nancy Bennink, and President Louise Quick (left to right) show off quilts made by the Westfield Quilters’ Guild.

Westfield Quilters’ Guild will hold their annual holiday dinner at the Westfield YWCA on Thursday, Nov. 21 at 6 p.m. Dinner is potluck with drinks provided. This is an exciting month for the guild as it distributes all of the comfort quilts made throughout the year. Shown here are Guild members Dianne Stanton, Nancy Bennink, and President Louise Quick (left to right) showing some of the 130+ quilts ready to be gifted to the following groups: Salvation Army Anew Center, Chautauqua County Hospice, Chautauqua County CAP (Children’s Advocacy Program, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), Chautauqua County Home, Chautauqua Rural Ministries, Jamestown DAR for Buffalo Veteran’s Hospital, Union Relief – Springwood, and TEAM (Teen Education and Motherhood) of Chautauqua County.

In addition to these, quilts were gifted to the Royal Family’s Kids Camp during the summer, and to a family who lost their home to a fire last spring.

Members and visitors are welcome to join during this festive time. If you’ve been considering joining a quilt guild, you’re invited to come and see if the Westfield Quilters’ Guild is a good fit for you.
