Collins Public Library February events

COLLINS — The Collins Public Library, located at 2341 Main St., Collins, has released its schedule of February events. When registration is required, call 532-5129.

Take Your Child to the Library Day! All Day Saturday, Feb. 1. Crafts, games, prize drawings. Come and visit and see all the wonderful things the library has to offer!

YA RPG Club: Saturday, Feb. 1st, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sign up is in the library, and fills up fast. Don’t miss out on the chance to slay the forces of evil, discover treasure, and have a blast! Ages 12 to 18. Lunch and snacks provided. Let us know if special accommodations are needed.

Lap Sit with Miss Abbie: Mondays, Feb. 3, 10 and 24 at 10:30 a.m. Join us for this fun program for children ages 6 months to 2 years with a caregiver. A great introduction to early literacy skills with rhymes, finger plays, music, stories and more. Sign up required.

Craft Club: Monday, Feb. 3 at 6 p.m. Come and make crafts in the library. This month’s theme will be children’s stories. Ages 3 to 12. Registration is required.

Knit and Crochet Group: Tuesday, Feb. 4 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Open to all ages and all skill sets. If you just want to learn or if you need help with a pattern, we can help you. We also have projects to choose from. Call or stop by the Library to sign up.

Quilting with Florence: Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Join these knowledgeable ladies as they work on projects.

YA Writing Club: Thursday, Feb. 6 at 6 p.m. Ages 13 to 20. Inform staff if special accommodations are required. Snacks provided.

Library Board Meeting: Thursday, Feb. 6 at 6 p.m. Open to the public. All are welcome!

Senior Movie: Friday, Feb. 7 at 1 p.m. Join us for a movie and popcorn. Co-sponsored by the 50+ Seniors. Call the Library for the Title of the Movie.

Book a Tech Trainer Drop In: Saturday, Feb. 8th, 11 am to 3 pm. Want some help getting started with tech, learn to use the 3D Printer, or try Virtual Reality? Stop in or call for an appointment.

Tinkering in the Library! Saturday, Feb. 8 at 12 p.m. With different rotating activities each month, there will be new things to explore. Fun for the whole family. Stop by or call to sign up.

Morning Book Club: Monday, Feb. 10 at 11 a.m. Discussing “The Immortalists” by Chloe Benjamin. Request a copy online or at the Library Desk.

Young Adult Art Club: Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 6:30 pm. Love to draw, paint and create? Then this is for you! This club will meet to learn about illustration and publishing. Ages 10 to 20. Sketchbooks and materials will be provided. Stop in to register.

Computer Class-Editing Digital Photos: Thursday, Feb. 13 at 5:30 p.m. Learn how to make basic adjustments to digital photos. Free and open to Library patrons age 17 and above. Registration required.

LEGO Club: Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 6:30 p.m. Come and play with LEGOs in the Library. We will put your creation on display in the Library. Ages 4 to 12. Registration required, call or stop in.

Young Adult Book Club: Thursday, Feb. 27 at 6:30 p.m. Discussing “The Hobbit” by J.R.R. Tolkien. Ages 13 and up. Request a copy online or at the Library Desk.

Toddler Time: The next 3 week session of Toddler Time begins Friday, Feb. 28 at 10:30 a.m. Read stories, play games, sing songs and have a snack. Ages 2 to 5. Call or stop in to register!

Adult Craft Fun: Saturday, Feb. 29 at 11 a.m. or 1 pm – Calligraphy. We provide the materials, and you make a special craft. Ages 18+, registration required and limited.
