Police are reportedly investigating a complaint of misconduct involving students at Chautauqua Lake Central School.

The district posted a statement Thursday, noting that school officials received the complaint and “promptly began an investigation of that complaint. The District has made a referral to local law enforcement to conduct the investigation, which has not yet concluded.

“The District takes all such allegations very seriously, and is awaiting the conclusions of the investigation. Because this is a student matter, the District cannot comment further on the allegations.”

School officials did not specify what misconduct is alleged to have occurred.
