Online basket raffle to benefit Service Learning & Crisis Response Fund

Join the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation (NCCF) for an online Basket Raffle. With the Covid-19 crisis keeping us inside, here is a fun way to pass the time while helping two important causes. NCCF will split the money raised during this weeklong online raffle between the Service Learning Program and the newly established Crisis Response Fund. The raffle site went live on Monday, March 30, and runs until Sunday, April 5, at 11:59 p.m. Go to the website, www.nccfoundation.org, to access the basket raffle link.

The Chautauqua County Crisis Response Fund: Covid-19 was established by a coalition of philanthropy, government, and business partners to create a centralized funding pool. This fund will rapidly deploy flexible resources to community-based organizations that are disproportionally impacted by COVID-19, the economic consequences of the outbreak, community and organizational recovery, and future community emergencies.

NCCF’s Service Learning Mini-Grants offers small grants to teachers in local school districts for projects that connect classroom learning with meaningful community service. To date, NCCF has awarded $42,691 for 99 projects that brought together almost 4,250 students and community members in ten school districts.

The online basket raffle runs like any other raffle. There are 33 baskets to choose from – one for everyone in the family! Your ticket purchase gives you that number of chances to win any of the baskets listed. The cost of tickets starts at $10 for 25 tickets. You can also find two tickets to Six Flags Darien Lake among the baskets! Visit our webpage for additional information along with a list and photos of the baskets at www.nccfoundation.org/nccf-flapjack-fundraiser. And, thank you for supporting these two worthy programs.

The NCCF, incorporated in 1986, is a tax-exempt charitable organization. Since its establishment, the NCCF has distributed more than $16 million in the community through its various grant programs. It is an organization inherently committed to enriching the northern Chautauqua community and encouraging local philanthropy. For more information on the NCCF, visit www.nccfoundation.org or call 366-4892.
