Farmers’ Market Week to be celebrated Saturday

The Fredonia Farmers’ Market will be celebrating National Farmers’ Market week on Saturday at the Church Street location from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The market is in full summer swing, with loads of fresh local vegetables and fruit, eggs, meats, baked goods, plants, herbal products, soaps, microgreens,, maple products and honey, fresh-cut flowers, & artisan craft goods. We accept cash, credit, & SNAP benefits.

There will be chalk drawing for children and other safe activities. The market, however, is not able to have our usual musical guests this year, but you might just hear a little fiddle music!

As part of Fredonia Farmers’ Market commitment to community service, this week we will be collecting donations of healthy snack items for the Boys & Girls Club Summer Camp. The club is providing safe outdoor day camp activities for many local children. They are in desperate need of juice boxes, bottled water and healthy packaged snacks for these kids. Bring whatever you can to market on Saturday to help our neighbors!

Fredonia Farmers’ Market also has two satellite locations to serve our patrons: Thursdays in Forestville from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Baptist Church parking lot on Park Street just off the mall and Cassadaga on Sundays, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the four corners in the park.

The vendors appreciate the customers and our communities, and strive to support each other in these difficult times.
