Collins Seniors offer update on events

COLLINS — Collins Senior Center offered this note to the community this week.

“To all our members, friends, and fellow travelers, we hope you have stayed safe and healthy through this difficult year.

“We do not expect to have meetings until restrictions for the number of people allowed to attend is changed.

“NOTE: We sent vouchers out in April for “St. Patrick’s Day Show” and “Cartwright’s Maple Inn.” Please return the vouchers to us so we can send you refund checks.

“We are hoping that we will be able to travel next year and have booked some trips that were canceled this year. ‘Fireworks in New York 7/4’ has been postponed to July 2021 and “America’s Wild West by Motor Coach” has been postponed to September 2021.

“THANK YOU to elf in charge Linda Schauer and everyone who wrote letters to Santa c/o Macy’s. We delivered 34,899 letters to Macy’s Saturday, Dec. 6. Macy’s will donate $2 for every letter to Make A Wish Foundation. The money donated in Western New York stays in our area.

“Thank you to everyone for your continued support. We wish everyone a wonderful and safe Christmas and New Year. For additional information visit our web site at www.knowhowtours.com/collinscenter or contact Irene Pfeifer at 532-4268 or Bridget Farner at 532-9586.
