Fredonia Farmers’ Market moves outdoors to Barker Commons

On Saturday, the Fredonia Farmers’ Market will move outdoors to its summer location on beautiful Barker Commons in the center of historic Fredonia. Summer market hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine, through the end of October.

Fredonia’s many regular summer vendors include Fred Farms, Feinen Farms, Joy Farms, EnJoyable Acres, Maggitti Farm, Ceres Farm, DeGolier Maple Products, Gong Garden, Seybold Farm, Om Nohm Gluten-Free Bakery, SpiderHerbs, Dandelions & Dreams Herbal Products, Aeress Designs, Kathy Holser Beach Glass Jewelry, Garden Gate Nursery, Pots-n-Curries, Roo Haven Farm, Cute & Crafty Soaps, and more. These local vendors provide loads of fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables, a wide variety of baked goods, maple products and raw local honey, fruit preserves, beeswax candles, beef, pork, and chicken, delicious ready-to-eat foods, and artisan-quality craft goods.

Fredonia Farmers’ Market vendors welcome cash, credit cards, and SNAP benefits.

Many special events are planned for this summer season, including the return of fantastic Rockabilly Steve & BR3 on June 4, and the New Horizons Band traditional concert on July 2.

Check out the website at fredoniafarmersmkt.org and Fredonia Farmers Market on Facebook for updates and information. Supporting memberships are available for $10 yearly. Members may attend and speak at the Annual Meeting, and may serve on the Board of Directors.

Shopping at your local farmers’ market not only supplies you with fresh, high quality products, but also supports small, local, family-owned businesses!
