Seminar on small farm tax basics for veterans set

Let’s go over filing a Schedule F! New York veterans are invited to join Cornell Cooperative Extension Farm Business Management Specialist, Katelyn Walley-Stoll, to learn more about small farm tax management in a free virtual seminar. This will take place on Monday, March 20 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. via Zoom. Registration is required by visiting tinyurl.com/FarmOpsTax.

There are many different advantages to filing a Schedule F at tax time for your farm, even if you’re small! Join Farm Business Management Specialist, Katelyn Walley-Stoll, to learn more about record keeping, determining if your farm is a business or a hobby, and questions to ask when looking for a sound tax preparer. Refer back to the resources discussed during this seminar throughout the year to better prepare for filing your 2023 taxes. The presentation will be recorded and distributed to registrants.

For any questions, concerns, or accommodation requests, please contact Katelyn Walley-Stoll at kaw249@cornell.edu or 716-640-0522. Funding and support for this event is provided by Cornell Small Farms Veteran Program, Farm Ops. Learn more about Farm Ops by visiting https://smallfarms.cornell.edu/projects/farm-ops/.
